Food Review- Trader Joes Chicken-less Mandarin Orange Morsels

So as you guys all know, I have been vegan for the past 16 days.  My friend Natasha has also been on this journey with me and doing it with her (virtually) has really made this an easy process.  Now I won't say that everyday has been easy, but it hasn't been as bad as I expected it to be.  While on this journey, we have been sending each other recommendations for food and snacks.  We have also been taking advantage of vegan shopping lists online.  Natasha actually recommended me to try Trader Joes Chicken-less Mandarin Orange morsels as a quick meal to have for dinner.

Now I must say for the first couple of days I avoided eating "fake meat", and just purely ate all vegetable meals.  After trying this frozen delight I was ready to try all the fake meat out there.

My assessment: If you plan to go vegan, start with this right here!  This was the best frozen orange chicken(less) meal that I have ever had.  I usually find that frozen Asian meals fall short of what you can get elsewhere.  However, this one was right on point and hit the spot.  There was actually one point when I went to reheat the leftovers and I said, "I hope this microwave doesn't dry out my chicken." Then when I took a bite I said "Oh yea, this isn't real chicken so it can't dry out the same way."  I literally forgot that I wasn't eating real meat that's how good it was.

Rating: 8.5/10

I would give it a higher rating because I loved it so much; however, I found that it didn't have the initial crunch after reheating leftovers.  So unless I plan to eat it all at once (which I don't) that's the only downside for me.
